Red’s In the Hood

Once Upon A Tune Musicals (Red’s In The Hood 2018)

The Once Upon a Tune musical series has become a staple educational field trip for Ontario elementary schools. Over 50,000 students across Ontario and Quebec enjoyed PigMania in spring of 2017.

We are thrilled to invite schools to join us for Red’s In The Hood in spring of 2018. Some shows are already sold out.

Red’s In the Hood

ON TOUR FEB-JUNE 2018
JK-3 • Approx 55 mins

Join little Red as she is sent with a basket of cookies to see her Granny (a motorcycle-riding go-go dancing hip-hopping senior). Red veers off the path and is chased by B.B. Wolf, a cookie-loving rap star! It’s a wacky musical twist on the traditional “Little Red Riding Hood” fairly tale. With fun sing-along songs, humor for all ages, fanciful costumes and sets, and a cast of 12, Red’s In The Hood will be one of the best theatre experiences your school will have.

This high-energy fun includes free audio resources and Resource Guides for EVERY class attending!

Here are just a few quotes from schools who attended PigMania in spring of 2017..

“The play was very engaging for all! The children and adults were so taken with the show that they never lost interest. Everyone jumped up to dance and sing or yell out responses to the cast throughout the whole performance. You felt satisfied as an educator that the trip was worthwhile and very entertaining.”  St Michael Corkery Elementary School

” It is a wonderful opportunity to expose children to live theatre, which is not an experience that is universally available. It lends itself to exploring many literary concepts such as comparing and contrasting. The logistics of the trip were very well managed.”  Holy Redeemer Elementary School.
